Cee Lo Green recorded his version of the song "Happy", but his team wanted him to go in another direction so he didn't do the song. Pharell says Cee Lo was good to go and wanted to use the song but in Pharell's words "the powers that be didn't think it was a good move for him at the time." The song is such a hit it has been Oscar nominated.
