The youngest person ever to be executed in the United States was George Stinney, a teen from South Carolina accused of killing 2 white girls in 1944. He was convicted with little evidence and did not get a fair hearing in court. He was given the electric chair and his burned body was shown in a open casket funeral. In 2014 his family is seeking a new trial for his unjust death 70 years later.
