Lil Wayne Played The Tin Man In "The Wiz"

Mega rap star Lil Wayne is well known all over the world. His abrasive lyrics and mind boggling metaphors have gained him a mass following and fan base. But before all the fame, bling, groupies, and success, Dwayne Michael Carter was an "actor."  At age 12, Wayne played the part of The Tin Man in a school play of "The Wiz." Everyone knows the Tin man doesn't have a heart. Great role for a gangster rapper, being cold hearted or no heart at all. That same year Wayne mistakenly shot himself with a 9mm handgun in the chest. An off duty police officer drove Wayne to the hospital, saving his life. He almost literally had no heart, like the Tin man. Good thing the bullet missed vital organs. We are definitely fans of Lil Wayne (who isn't) and we're glad he survived to bring us the great music he does today.
