If you know Kimberly Michelle Pate, better known as
K. Michelle, you know she's sassy, somewhat aggressive, quick to rock the boat and definitely a songstress. What you probably didn't know is that K. Michelle has a degree in Psychology and a minor in Music. Graduating from Florida A&M University she was fluent in playing the guitar and piano. She got vocal lessons from Bob Westbrook who also trained Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. As a freshman in college she was crowned Miss Freshman Attendant, and as a senior she was crowned Miss FAMU. Being crowned Miss FAMU had to be a ego boost for the up and coming star because FAMU is one of the biggest, most respected Historically Black Colleges in the south. She had to be well known on campus for winning that title. Not to mention her other big "ass-sets". She is also a sister of Delta Sigma Theta. Yup she's a Delta. So why is this well accomplished young lady on television giving off a sometimes ratchet vibe? Is it all entertainment? We hope so because having a degree in psychology really helps when you're on a show like K. Michelle's 'Love and Hip Hop.' Smart people usually come off as "crazy" to most anyway. Hey, they said Einstein was crazy. Who the hell are "They" anyway?
